After watching an episode of Time Team showing how the Romans used to blow glass I wanted to have a go myself. A few days later when making coffee with my hob top mokka pot I lifted the lid to see if it had finished and burnt my hand when it splashed out all over the hob. I decided to make a coffeepot out of glass so that I could see when the coffee was ready.
